Grands Basketball & Missouri River Walk

The weather today was fantastic – blue clear skies with a high of 66. I had grandchildren’s basketball games to attend, however, so I could not dedicate the whole day to riding. The next best thing was riding the motorcycle to the basketball games.

Chris went with me and first we attended Grandson Jack’s basketball game in Lenexa, KS. Jack is in kindergarten and this is his first year of roundball. I’m helping Bryan “coach”. Jack had a breakout game today. He hustled his buns off and scored 20 points. He was hotter than a firecracker! It was fun to watch.

Next we were off to Parkville, MO where Granddaughter Jenna was playing. Jenna is in third grade and it is her first year of basketball too. Eric is helping coach her team. Jenna worked hard and scored a couple goals as her team routed the competition. It, also, was fun to watch.

Since we were already in Parkville Chris and I rode down to the park by the Missouri River and took a mile walk.IMG_0259It was a beautiful day and there were many people in the park taking advantage of the unseasonably warm weather.

We rode home staying off the interstates as much as possible. What a great day. We enjoyed seeing a couple Grands playing hoops and playing with a couple younger Grands (Gabe and Ben) off the court. At the same time we squeezed in 65 miles of motorcycle riding.
