Pacific Northwest; Day 1
Chris and I are on a trip that has been in the making for two years. We originally planned to do it last September but a medical procedure prevented that from happening. Headed to the pacific northwest!
It was sunny and 73 degrees when we departed home at 12:20 pm. I-70 would take us all the way to our day's destination, Colby, KS. Along the way we stopped at a rest area just west of exit 225.
While I was taking some photos here, a lady rode in on a bright pink Yamaha motorcycle. While Chris struck up a conversation with her I got a couple pics of her ride. She was from Topeka and was on her way to Colorado where she would meet up with some friends.

I drove from home to the rest area and Chris took the helm for the rest of our drive into Colby, KS.
After checking into our motel we had a few tacos at a nearby Taco John's (brother, Carl, would be jealous) before watching the Chief's and Royals until we got too tired to stay awake.
We drove 363 miles today and the high temperature was 91 degrees.
