Coronavirus Tour; Day 1
Well, we planned this trip before the coronavirus became the only issue discussed on the news. Our destination is Nashville, portions of Tennessee and northern Alabama. Shortly after 9:00 we departed our home with Carl and Marge on their motorcycle. It was cloudy and 40 degrees.
We left Shawnee eastbound on Shawnee Mission Parkway and then our route was I-35 south, 69, south, I-435 east, I-49 south out of Kansas City, 7 south at Harrisonville and 13 south at Clinton. Just south of Brighton we turned east on CC, which took us to Fair Grove, where we caught E eastbound and then 38 east to Marshfield, MO.
Looking for a place to eat we spotted Grillo's Cafe, which proved to be a good find. The food was great and very reasonably priced.

After lunch we decided to make hotel reservations in Poplar Bluff, MO. From Marshfield we took A south to 60 east to Poplar Bluff, where we arrived shortly after 5:00. It was cloudy all day and the high temperature was 53. Our route today covered 358 miles.
The two photos displayed are the only photos taken today. No sight-seeing was accomplished. Unfortunately, tomorrow is looking to be wet as we make our way to Nashville.
